Where confidence grows, self-esteem shines, and community leads the way.
Our Philosophy
At Revelation Dance Company, we believe that dance is more than just movement — it’s a powerful tool for building confidence, character, and community.
Our mission is to create a safe, uplifting space where young dancers are encouraged to grow not only as artists, but as strong, confident individuals. We are passionate about building up girls from the inside out — nurturing their self-esteem, teaching them to believe in themselves, and helping them discover the unique light they carry.
We strive to foster a supportive environment where every dancer feels seen, valued, and empowered. Whether stepping into the studio for the first time or preparing for the stage, each student is guided with care, compassion, and purpose.
Through technique, creativity, and connection, Revelation Dance Company is proud to be a place where girls grow — in strength, in confidence, and in sisterhood.

Marissa Setzer
Marissa Setzer began her dance journey at just two years old, quickly developing a passion that would shape her life. She trained and competed in both mini and junior advanced divisions at the regional and national level under the direction of Bonnie Downie’s Dance Studio. During this time, she earned numerous regional and national awards as both a soloist and group performer, with training spanning ballet, jazz, musical theater, hip-hop, lyrical, and acrobatic tumbling.
As a young teen, Marissa relocated to Delaware, where she continued her training and joined Coastal Dance Academy’s former competition team. There, she further expanded her versatility, studying ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and contemporary.
Her dedication to dance extended into her school years, where she was a member and captain of the Sussex Tech Dance Team. During this time, she had the exciting opportunity to perform in the 2011 Florida Gator Bowl.
Marissa’s passion for dance naturally evolved into teaching. In 2011, she organized an acro fundraising workshop at Coastal Dance Academy in support of the American Cancer Society. The overwhelming success of this event led to the addition of acro into the studio’s curriculum, where she went on to teach multiple levels from beginner through advanced. She also assisted in teaching ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical, helping to shape and mentor dancers across all levels.
Her achievements include being named a Power Pak Dance recipient, receiving the Diane Drulis Foundation Scholarship, and earning numerous regional and national titles at prestigious competitions such as Starpower, Nexstar, Showstoppers, Starbound, NYCDA, and Tremaine.
Beyond the studio, Marissa is a Registered Oncology Nurse, bringing the same compassion and dedication to her professional career as she does to dance. Now a mother, she is deeply inspired to share her love for dance while encouraging and uplifting the next generation of dancers.

Jazzy Garbison
Jazzy Garbison began dancing at just three years old in her small hometown in northwest Indiana at Sandra Lee Studio of Dance. She started with ballet and musical theater, and it didn’t take long before she wanted to explore more—tap, lyrical, and anything that let her express herself.
Her teacher, Miss Sandie, recognized that spark early. By middle school, Jazzy was already demonstrating in classes, learning jazz and tap not just by doing, but by teaching alongside other instructors. In high school, she was promoted to assistant instructor, where she taught ballet, musical theater, jazz, and tap.
Her junior year brought heartbreak—COVID restrictions forced the studio to close, and not long after, Jazzy lost her beloved teacher and mentor. Still, she pressed on. She danced and choreographed her entire senior year in Sandie’s memory and continued returning to the studio throughout college, stepping in for recital pieces or helping backstage whenever she could.
After graduating from Penn State with a bachelor’s in animal science, Jazzy continued her academic journey and is now pursuing her master’s degree in animal nutrition. And even after five years away from formal dance training, her passion never faded. She’s working hard to rebuild her technique and bring her 17 years of experience, dedication, and love for dance to Revelation.

Ashleigh Ling
With a passion for dance that began at just three years old, Ashleigh brings a wealth of training, performance experience, and a genuine love of teaching to Revelation Dance Company. She trained for nearly fifteen years at Coastal Dance Academy in Lewes, Delaware—a nationally award-winning studio—where she built a strong technical foundation and gained extensive competitive experience. During her training, she attended prestigious conventions and competitions including NYCDA, Tremaine Dance Convention, and Showstopper, earning a scholarship at Tremaine and being selected as a final-round scholarship candidate at Showstopper. It was also during these formative years that Ashleigh began assistant teaching, discovering an early passion for mentoring and inspiring young dancers.
A graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Ashleigh now proudly gives back to her community as a coach for the Cape Henlopen Dance Team, guiding and encouraging dancers at her alma mater. She continued her education at the University of Delaware, where she majored in Dietetics and minored in Dance. While at UD, she was an active performer and choreographer with the Delaware Repertory Dance Company (DRDC), and later served as Vice President of Performance. In this leadership role, she played a key part in organizing a large-scale spring showcase featuring more than 40 dancers and guest performers.
Outside of the studio, Ashleigh works full-time as a dietitian for the Milford School District, where she oversees school nutrition programs throughout the year. Whether in the classroom or the studio, she is deeply committed to fostering confidence, growth, and well-being in the next generation.
